Stainless Steel Handheld Standard Tablet Hardness Tester

The handheld hardness tester provides the most simplified method of tablet hardness analysis. Individual tablets are placed in the jaw while the spring-loaded knob is hand-turned until tablet break is detected. This device provides a mere indication of actual tablet hardness and is not a calibrated instrument that should be relied upon for quality control judgment. With an unworn spring, the instrument can provide results within a 10% accuracy range – and will test tablets up to 0.75″ diameter and 0.25″ thickness. For larger tablets, the tablet conversion kit can be purchased separately to accommodate tablets up to a 1.3125″ diameter and 0.25″ thickness.
